Alzheimer’s – “Momma I Still Cry” -Original Song -The heartbreak of Alzheimer’s

My wife lost her mother to Alzheimers, and this song reflects the pain she felt, and the heartbreak I, her husband, and our daughter Stephanie felt, during this terrible loss. My daughter Stephanie Iverson performed the song, and I recorded her, and composed some basic music. The song was written by Diane, Stephanie, and Stephen Iverson. I’m sure many others can identify with this song. Thanks for listening

How long do you think my mother with Alzheimer's has to live?

My mom is 66 years old. She was diagonsed with Alzheimer’s about 5 years ago. She is in the last stage of the disease. There’s nothing that she can do on her own, and she can’t speak. When she does, it’s nonsensical. She has 24 hour care. About a month ago, she was walking and fell. Now, she can’t walk at all. She is in a wheelchair. When we pick her up and have her walk 2 steps from her wheelchair into the shower, she pees and occasionally poops just from standing. She had a bed sore, but it is being treated. She obviously is nearing the end of her life…how long do you think she will live for?

Can intaking too much protein lead to Alzheimer's disease later in life?

I am doing a paper on Alzheimer’s disease right now and it seems it is caused by protein build-ups in the brain. I weight-lift and take in a lot of protein because of it. My grandmother who had Alzheimer’s obviously did not and probably had a low protein intake so I am wondering if a high protein diet is what leads to Alzheimer’s. Does anyone know for certain if high protein diets can lead to it later in life?

If not, what is the cause? Will reading and keeping your mind active prevent such a disease? Thank’s…

Are these signs of early dementia or alzheimer's?

I am a shy and reserved person, I have been an immigrant in a country for almost 10 years, I live in fear and self doubt all the time, I over analyze my actions and situations all the time, I have strange questions like how do people use their brains and bodies without completely understanding how their brains and bodies work and I try to analyze that which leads to a lot of awkwardness when I am in public, I feel afraid to ask anyone about this problem since I thought they wouldn’t take it seriously and laugh, I feel nervous when I am in class and don’t get the good grades I used to get, I don’t attempt things I used to attempt before or tackle challenges like before, I am more reserved now than before, I live in fear and doubt and worry, I have found that I am not that good at things that I was good at before. I was criticized as a child, and ever since my early teens I have struggled with this problem. I read in an article in yahoo which I have included in brackets (http://health.yahoo.net/caring/5-signs-of-alzheimer-s-that-sometimes-show-up-before-memory-loss) that people who don’t attempt to accomplish harder tasks, don’t meet other people often, who are reserved, keep to themselves, forget names and places and peoples names etc are prone to dementia and or alzheimer’s. Should I be worried. If anyone can help me with this problem I would be greatly thankful..
I find myself being absent minded meaning leaving things on the stove and forgetting about them a few times, Its not that I forget people and street names or anything like that, just don’t have the drive that I once had, am unable to make a lot of friends because of being in confident an insecure and being under stress. Maybe I just over analyze and doubt myself too much.
