Question about a non custodial parent claiming a child on taxes?
My daughter’s father sent me a parenting time agreement for visitation and what not. He wants to claim her on taxes every other year. He has no job. Sees her 3 days out of 14, at most. We were never married and live in Minnesota. I pay our rent, buy food, clothes, and everything else. Pay all daycare. Carry her insurance. Does he have any right to claim her? He lives with his parents and they do all of her caregiving when its ‘his’ weekend. Have you been through this? What happened?
Why does my friend do this to me?
Im 19 years old and i have a few friends. One in particular, one of my few friends who is a girl has this little high horse mentality. well so it seems… for example I was talking to her one time and she was telling me how she was trying to find another job. she told me how she went into "hard rock cafe" and she got an interview on the spot. she then told me that she didnt want the job anymore so she bombed the interview. but they called her up a second time because obviously her "bombing" the interview wasnt good enough for them so she had to lie and tell them she got another job. ending off our conversation with a he ha ha laugh and "so what have YOU been up too?" and once i say my piece she says "sounds boring". im not sure if this is my jealous side or if im just being stupid.
it doesnt help at all that she knows my situation. im currently unemployed, im not going to college because of financial set backs, in this economy the only thing i can settle for is a job at mc donalds which im still waiting for. she rubs it in that shes going to school and that she has a job (hostess at planet hollywood) and she always asks me whats up in my life. i hate giving her updates cause it gives her more ammo to shoot me down.
i feel like a loser and like i have nothing going on in my life when im around her… i try to stay positive. i’ll be working really soon (dont care what kind of job as long as i make money), and ive been doing some unofficial caregiving jobs here and there which helped me decide to go into healthcare so when i get back to school i know exactly what im going to do.
should i reevaluate this friendship? why does my friend try to make me fell like sh*t? anybody else go through something similar?
Men in Search of Submissive Wives: Is this a good description of what you would like to find?
**a pervasive and excessive need to be taken care of that leads to a submissive and clinging behavior as well as fears of separation.
** The dependent and submissive behaviors are designed to elicit caregiving and arise from a self-perception of being unable to function adequately without the help of others.
**These wmen have great difficulty making everyday decisions (such as what shirt to wear or whether to carry an umbrella) without an excessive amount of advice and reassurance from others
**These women tend to be passive and allow other people (often a single other person) to take the initiative and assume responsibility for most major areas of their lives.
**These women typically depend on a parent or spouse to decide where they should live, what kind of job they should have and which neighbors to befriend
** Because they fear losing support or approval, these women often have difficulty expressing disagreement with other people, especially those on whom they are dependent. These individuals feel so unable to function alone that they will agree with things that they feel are wrong rather than risk losing the help of those to whom they look for guidance.
** These womenhave difficulty initiating projects or doing things independently.
** They may go to excessive lengths to obtain nurturance and support from others, even to the point of volunteering for unpleasant tasks if such behavior will bring the care that they need. Individuals with this disorder feel uncomfortable or helpless when alone, because of their exaggerated fears of being unable to care for themselves.
** They are often preoccupied with fears of being left to care for themselves.
DO THESE SOUND LIKE DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS in a WIFE?
I think we can guess that even submissive women can tie there own shoe laces. What is TOO MUCH submission? Where do you draw the line?
"Submissive women are usually capable of surviving on their own"
…actually these women want to be in a relationship ALL THE TIME. When one ends, they are desperate to get into anothe one. Submissive women are dependent, and dependent women are afraid to be alone!
Submissive, passive
adjective
DEFINATION:
Submitting without objection or resistance: acquiescent, nonresistant, passive, resigned. See resist/yield
Willing to carry out the wishes of others: amenable, biddable, compliant, conformable, docile, obedient, supple, tractable. See resist/yield.
Shivers – am only asking about behaviors typically exhibited by submissive and dependant women! Maybe then don’t like submissive and dependant women as much as they thought, d’ya think?
I am 15 and I really need a job. Any Suggestions or Advice?
I’m 15 and I really need a job. I live in Lake Forest CA and I’m looking like a caregiving or babysitters job because I grew up taking care of my brothers and sister. I also take care of my house when my parents are working. I need the pay to help support myself and my school needs. Money is tight with my parents right now. If someone can help me get started, that would be great.
Anyone else having a hard time finding a job????
How long does it usually take? I just finished 3 years of school for nursing pre reqs so im not specialized in anything but i did get AS degree. I am also an army vet. I also have experience in caregiving, yet no ones hiring, and if they are they dont call me back, idk what happened, i dress well, present myself well, i guess so many ppl are competing for jobs in CA……its only been 2 weeks but how long does it usually take to get a job thanks
Have you seen McCain on TV lately? Is he showing the early signs of Alzheimer's disease?
His supporters are going brush it off and say that it’s just people bashing him. But seriously, have you noticed that he has been increasingly foggy-headed over the past 2 years? He can’t even get his facts straight about Iraq without Joe Lieberman stepping in to correct him, yet he’s already talking about eagerly bombing Iran. Is he too old for the job?
Starting over, what kind of work should I look for?
I’ve always been in social services, and I want to do something different this time. I need something with decent pay (maybe -14/hour) and benefits, something that doesn’t require a lot of physical work (I have severe back problems…I can be up and about for a few minutes at a time, but no longer). I have an AA in social sciences, but would like to go back to school and get my Bachelors. Here’s some of the experience I have:
Caregiving for elderly and disabled (I have quite a bit of medical knowledge, but no medical degree)
I worked in a treatment center for kids with mental and behavioral issues
I make menus and order food for a therapeutic wilderness boarding school
I’ve worked at a battered women’s shelter
The job I have now consists of a lot of organizing, making spreadsheets, ordering and inventory, and a little bit of working with kids to pack up food for long wilderness expeditions. The above is just an overview, but I have a lot of similar experience, too.
Any suggestions?
Can i seek legal action?
My uncle has ALS and needs everyday attention for his needs at home, which is ok for the matter that he would have 1 to 2 years left at the least as he continues to get the right help at home, his caretaker is his wife but she is unable to do it as she had surgery herself, so they setup a so called plan with a nearby hospice, where they would give her a 5 day break from the caretaking, while in the meantime his wife trys to find alternative help after hes released in the 5 days. Now while he is at the hospice, hes in some pain from the ALS, so they give him some medicine which i truly believe is a form of morphine, which knocks him in a vegetable state for the most part. The pain medicine he takes at his house does the job for his pain and there was no need for him to need morphine at the hospice ( the hospice did say he was taking the same meds as he was taking at the house, which is a lie because whatever they gave him put him in a vegetable state) , and thus he is in this vegetable state, he only eats once i think, since they cant give him any ivy or he instantly dies, well nonetheless he was only there 3 days and they call us saying he passed away. Now i know they did something there that killed him as he was not on his way out, he was only there because to give his wife a 5 day break from caregiving. I would bet all my money that they gave him a form of morphine which he did not need and of which destroyed him during his 3 days there, and when i say a vegetable state, i mean completly out of it, cant eat, etc. Does it sound like i have a good case, and that i can seek legal action against this hospice?
I mean, is it possible for the wife to seek legal action?

I take care of my Mom alone?
Is it right that I bare the sole responcibility of taking care of my 79 year old mom by myself . I have a Brother and sister that both live within 70 miles of me and offer no relief or financial help for her care. She has to use a motorized wheelchair to get around , all the doctors office visits, medications ,showering, laundry, cooking , cleaning, caregiving, companionship, rides and all else is done by me alone. I am now laid off from my job , more than likely form having to run home all the time to tend to mom, and the unemployment benifits are running out in 2 weeks, The state of Arizona will not extend benifits and the family will not help I am now poised to loose everything because family and my government will do nothing to help. I have not had a single day to myself in 3 years and am at wits end. I love mom and dont mind taking care of her but don’t understand why there is no financial or at minimum help from, family or state.

Hi, im 21 years old and came from Philippines. am living with my family in Norway in 4 years. My problem is that I dont have HS Diploma. I go to a vocational school taking Caregiving, but I dont like my course. I was forced to study this course coz we know that it is easier to get a job, right? But hoensty i dont like this course. This was my wrong choice! And since i wanna study in US, my aunt told me that I can go to an Adult Education in California so I can get a HS Diploma. I dont really know what to do so I can apply for a Student Visa. Here in Norway, we are all supported by our government when we study abroad but not in my case.I have my aunts and her family waiting for me there and my family and her family will support me and everything. This month we will visit them in California and other states too. Should I apply for that school? I dont know what to do first. Hoping for your advices / suggestions. Thank u sooo much!!
I know some adult school like in Sunnyvale-Capurtino Adult and Community Education. And after this I am going to study English. I really need it!!
Will my school help me to get a Student Visa? I dont care if I dont get any support from the government as long as I can get a HS Diploma. I didnt graduate in Philippines because the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration said that whether we liked it or not, we had to move in Norway before our visa expire. So we decided to move here.
