can someone under 30 develop dementia or Alzheimer's?

an answer from a neurologist or any Doctor with knowledge of the Diseases welcome
Can early Alzheimers symptoms include Parkinson's like tremors?
Current medical symptoms for past 6-9 months – Age 50/Male
1. Parkinson’s like tremors in hands and arms and progressively becoming worse as time continues.
2. Losing cognitive ability and memory and these are getting progressively worse as well. I frequently lose track of work or a though right in the middle of it and I have to stop and think for nearly a half a minute to get back on track.
3. Lethargic and lacking in motivation. Kind of depressed, nothing unmanageable.
Over 1 1/2 year ago I had severe tremors occuring in hands, arms and face and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The neurologist pronounced his diagnosis when I had taken Mirapex for a week and the tremors had vanished in arms and face, and were nearly gone in my hands.
I’m still taking the same amount of Mirapex but now the original symptoms have returned along with the memory and cognitive loss symptoms as well.
Could I have Alzheimers rather than Parkinson’s? I need help.

Can I get into at least one decent medical school?
I have successfully completed an EMT-B course, including an EMT-B field internship, a Medical Nursing internship, and over 100 hours volunteering at Childrens hospital Oakland. I have a passion for research and healthcare education. I am actively involved in multiple medical clubs on campus, including AMSA, Bear EMS, and I am serving as the director of student relations for mcbUSA. I am a mentor for YSP, a youth mentorship program, and volunteer at the ER at CHO, I am starting a class on healthcare as well, which I will teach and facilitate. I have done research on cell phone EMR and brain tumors, and am currently involved in research on both Alzheimers disease at the UC davis Alzheimers disease center, and aplastic anemia. I have shadowed a neurosurgeon and a neurologist.
Non Academic: started a band, member of the UCB boxing club, started my own business
I was wondering if I can get into a decent medical school. I am currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley, with a 4.478 GPA, double major in Molecular and cellular biology (emphasis on neurobiology) and psychology. I am also participating in the UC Davis pre med surgical internship program.
Thanks!
Woops, I meant a 3.478, not 4.478!!!

Is it Normal To have Great Fear of Hospitals and Mental Institutions?
Is it normal to have a lot of fear of Hospitals & Mental Institutions ? The reason why I ask this is because ever since I was a little girl I have always been afraid of hospitals not only because they are full of germs but especially for the fact that in most hospitals regardless that that they look after the sick usually behind closed doors away from the patients loved ones they are sometimes abusive – especially in front of the patients family members. Sometimes when a person is sick they would just look for another patient who has the same blood type for the sick and as an excuse they would tell the other patient "Oh I just need to take your blood to see if your fine" – But really they are just taking the blood to give it to some one else without them knowing , while making them more sick .
And Usually when they come into contact with an Epileptic – Instead of looking at their chart and files and asking questions about who their Neurologist is – They would be very abusive and just assume that they are "Drug Addicts" and they would be both Physically and Verbally abusive with that certain Patient. Instead of just taking the time to learn more about the Patients and trying to find out what else they can do to help them.
Now as For the Mental Institutions They scare me – because last year my Cousin Put his Mother ( My Aunt) who has Alzheimers Disease in a mental institution because he said he had no idea what to do with her – and that he just did not want to give her to anyone in the family because he did not trust us even though we promised to take great care of her – He then Denied us Access to go and visit her at the Mental Institution, Which they were very abusive with her by , Slapping her, pulling her hair if she did not make her bed ect. And while visiting the mental institution it scared me because not only did it look like a prison but ( I don’t know how else to say this ) even that they Nuerological problems for me the patients looked like Zombies and were horrified of almost every thing – they were also denied to wear their clothes execpt for their Pajamas & Slippers. At the same time I Felt sorry for them because of the enviroment that they had to live in and because of how some of their family members just abandon them and gave up on them. For some reason after leaving these places to go back home I started to feel very uncomfortable and afraid of these places.
But please don’t get me wrong , I want very much to overcome my fear of these places and hope that these kind of abuse in these particular places would end & that Doctors, Nurses and other people who work in these places would be stripped of their licsence and put in jail for life !
I guess what I am trying to ask is :
Is it normal to be afraid of mental Institutions & Hospital ?
Why are most of these places so abusive with the patients and hide certain things from the Patients loved ones ?
What would you do if one of your cousins did this to one of your Uncles or Aunts ?
Just because I am afraid of these places doesnt mean that I am going crazy does it ? I hope not!
What would you do if you were in a situation like this ?
What would you do if you saw a Doctor or nurse withdrawing blood from your loved one only to give it to another patient ?
What would you do if you saw A Doctor or Nurse Abusing one of your loved ones or another Patient ?
Please, Be Honest And tell me what you think . Thanks !

Dream Experts: I had a dream that a childhood friend (50s now) told me she's ill. See details below?
It was a puzzling dream because it was so specific. She told me she had an early case of Alzheimers disease and had to go to the neurologist regularly to monitor it. I thought it was so odd that the dream was so specific. Do these types of dreams mean something, can they be predictive, or is it just subconscious processing? It seemed so eerily real! I did recently see this friend at a party. I hadn’t seen her in a long time and I probably won’t again soon. Her dad died of Alzheimers two years ago. Does the dream have meaning? Don’t worry about it? Possibly predictive? Would love your ideas on it! Thanks!

Can someone please help? I feel like there is something wrong with my memory.?
I am 31 year old mother of two children. Alzheimers, depression, and heart disease runs in my family. In my late teens I partied a lot and experimented with drugs. I have been clean and sober for over 11 years and have recently begun having problems with my memory. I currently take prescription medication for depression and crohns disease. I was out to eat today with family.I asked a family member when did you return to the table (we had been having a conversation only seconds before and that person had not left the table). Also I incorrectly subsitute the wrong word for things, consistently misplace my phone or keys, sometimes do not remember what I was just doing. A month or so ago I was shopping for purses and had left my phone inside one and then misplaced it within a matter of minutes. I could not remember where I had just sat my phone. I sometimes will drop things without realizing I have dropped them until they hit the floor. I am not sure if this is a side effect of my medication or a more serious problem. I feel that I am too young for Alzheimers disease. Does any one know what could be wrong? Should I schedule an appointment with a neurologist?

Do Compulsive gambling and Parkinson's disease have any link?
I have Parkinson’s disease and I saw an article that linked compulsive gambling with PD medication and my Neurologist has confirmed that there is a link with compulsive behavior and certain medication being given for PD. My question is being asked because I just saw a number of incorrect answers that were given here to someone that asked about it. The asker was told in no uncertain terms that gambling is a social disease and not a medical problem. Has anyone else here ever read an article linking compulsive gambling to PD medication?
